Our largest annual whole school event, International Day, took place on 19 November. As every year, this massive organization takes place for us to celebrate and share our cultures. And we love it!

It was a successful day, with a huge turn out (the parking lot was completely full). Thank you so very much to the International Day organizers, Ulrike Krafft, Marion Rumpler, and Alexandra Kayserling-Hoffmeyer, as well as all the people who helped and supported the success of this event!

Secondary homerooms and activity groups provided awesome games and we had a parade of nations for the first time this year! From the Silent Auction’s selection of delicious country baskets and autographed football jerseys to the wide array of handicrafts, there were very interesting items to peruse… Though International Day is about much more than food, the variety of delicious food was SO GOOD! And from so many cultures! And so MUCH of it!

We loved seeing so many people wearing clothes from different cultural traditions. It is a great visual reminder of the vibrance and huge range of our cultural melting pot at IICS.

The funds raised from the event will be dedicated to the PTA & CAS Foundation, to help the Student Grant Program, and to the funding of community building events. It was another fantastic International Day event, thanks to everyone!
